CALGreen is here, and there appear to be more interest than ever. The seminars I’m presenting at are filling up rapidly. Design professionals, contractors, and other industry professionals are interested to know how to comply with CALGreen. Additionally, “green” product manufacturers are beginning to introduce more of their products to the community.
On April 18 through April 20, 2011, the California Green Summit Conference (CGS) will be taking place in Sacrament, California. This is a conference that will host about 5,000 people, and will showcase “green” product vendors and their various products all in one location. The California Building Standards Commission (BSC) and the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) will both have booths at the conference to answer questions about the new CALGreen Code. On April 18th, a CALGreen Academy will offer several classes about CALGreen. This is a great opportunity for anyone involved with CALGreen to meet other individuals and seek answers. Here is a great website for additional information: http://www.green-technology.org.
