Moe Fakih has been named the newest member of the principal ownership team of VCA Green, a highly recognized green building consultancy with offices in Orange and Oakland.

Fakih has both private and public sector experience, previously working as a City Planner in Orange County processing project entitlements totaling millions of dollars and as a principal at AEF Consulting, a Southern California sustainability consulting-construction firm specializing in California Green Building Code and LEED projects.

He is a LEED AP and holds a Masters of Science degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from San Diego State University.

With his 19 years of experience, Fakih is known as a thought leader in the industry, writing articles and presenting classes on California green building codes and green consulting best practices to building owners, architects and green practitioners. Most recently, he served as project manager on the award-winning UCLA Health Center, home of the Los Angeles Lakers training facility. His team works on projects large and small across various project types, including multi-family, mixed-use, retail, hospitality, commercial and residential.

“Moe brings a well-rounded perspective to green building with his background in construction, building codes and compliance best practices,” said Tom VanDorpe, CEO/President of VCA Green. “He is highly regarded for helping clients make sound decisions with a focus on ROI. We are extremely proud to have Moe join the ownership team at VCA.”
