Robyn Vettraino is Principal of VCA Green, where she leads a national team of sustainability professionals delivering high-performance building and certification services across the United States. With nearly 30 years of experience managing complex projects and the ability to leverage structural and government services, she helps organizations integrate sustainability strategies that enhance building performance, create long-term value, and deliver measurable business and environmental outcomes.

A recognized leader in green building, Robyn specializes in guiding multidisciplinary teams through LEED certification, ESG initiatives, carbon reduction planning, health and wellness programs, social equity frameworks, and other third-party sustainability certifications. Known for her collaborative approach, she excels at translating ambitious sustainability objectives into actionable strategies that support project success while maximizing return on investment and long-term operational performance.

Robyn has been at the forefront of the green building industry, contributing to some of the nation’s most significant and pioneering certification achievements. Her experience spans residential, commercial, educational, industrial, and community development projects of all sizes, from innovative affordable housing developments to large-scale commercial facilities. Throughout her career, she has helped clients navigate evolving sustainability requirements while achieving meaningful results in resource efficiency, emissions reduction, occupant well-being, and environmental performance.

Beyond project work, Robyn has advanced the sustainability profession through leadership, volunteerism, and service. She has served on USGBC Market Leadership Boards in California and Hawaiʻi, contributed to pilot programs and industry initiatives, and is a frequent speaker and moderator at Greenbuild and other leading sustainability conferences. She is an active supporter and volunteer with USGBC, ULI committees, ICRE and the Girl Scouts of Orange County. Through these efforts, she continues to help shape best practices in sustainable development and high-performance buildings. Robyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Iowa State University and is a LEED AP in BD+C, Homes, and SITES, a Qualified AD, and a Green Rater.
